Participant profile
To facilitate the integration of different disciplines and academic levels within the congress, two separate events now take place during the academic year. Additionally, during the application period, applicants are divided into Groups A and B to streamline the process.

Young BMol
In Autumn, the event focuses mostly on molecular and cell biology as well as genetics, biochemistry, biomedicine, histology, microbiology, and research in medicine and pharmacy. Next edition takes place in Autumn 2026.

Young BMEco
In Summer, the event focuses mostly on botany, zoology, ecology, taxonomy, environmental sciences, palaeontology, science educators, communicators, agricultural, forestry, and marine sciences. Next edition takes place in 2027.

Group A - The Rookies
This group includes bachelor's and master's students who have just finished their master's degree and are currently looking for a doctorate or a job.

Group B - The Seniors
This group includes PhD students (including recent PhD graduates) of any year and postdocs. These applicants are encouraged to be active participants.
